PAYROLL MANAGER

The IMS Payroll system is a unique and easy-to-use software program that makes payroll processing so simple a clerk can do payroll for hundreds of employees before lunch. The record keeping functions work not only for small local government users, but also for large organizations. Although designed to work for local municipal government, the program works equally well for corporations and small businesses. IMS uses this program to pay its own employees!

The system supports splitting pay among many departments, and also creates automatic due to and due from accounting entries. Accounting functions are also designed to work within the pooled cash environment.

Users can track pay raise history, EEOC records, and much more. It prints paychecks and performs the direct deposit file creation to be used in conjunction with your banks file deposit transfer program. All direct deposit is done in the NACHA file format. Deposit notices can be printed separately.

Pop up boxes can inform users of important information each time a record is edited. Security is designed so users can set access levels for each menu item, including view only, or no access to any area of the program.
The built-in report writer allows users to create simple to complex reports that can total on several subsets of data. These reports can be designed for any or all pay types, deduction types, benefit types or tax types. Reports can be printed for the current pay period, as well as any past pay period.

A virtual manual is also included within the program that can be read with the Adobe Acrobat Reader and is updated with new releases of the program.

One module that can save the payroll clerk hours of data entry time is the IMS Time Sheet Tracking System. The system is flexible and easy to use, allowing either individual employee's the ability to enter their exception transactions as well as regular and overtime hours worked, or administrative personnel can enter in this data for their departments. The department head or supervisor can review this data as an approver, and all approvers can be assigned to view either a single department or a group of departments, and approve those employee time sheets. The payroll clerk updating the transactions and beginning the first step in payroll processing

then accepts this data, saving hours of keying time!

Included with the system are time sheet reports that detail the hours entered for each department, as well as the status of the time sheets, whether approved or waiting for approval.

Color-coding shows users past pay periods and hours worked, the current pay period, or future pay periods. The program will only allow entries for the current pay period.
